CURRENT PRAYER REQUESTS

July 16, 2025

Please pray for Tim and Meagan Schindel. Tim has been in excruciating pain since yesterday and off and on in the ER. CT has shown there are spots on the kidneys that could be blood clots but they are not sure why. Please pray for healing, a quick diagnosis and treatment.

July 14, 2025

Please pray for Kim Larsen’s brother, Jordon. He was in a farming accident yesterday. He was electrocuted then fell a distance. He was flown to Calgary and is in an induced coma. He has extensive 3 degree burns over much of his body, organ damage and broken ribs. We are grateful that there is no head or spinal injuries. It’s an extremely difficult time for Kim as she sits with him. He is in critical condition and the next couple of days are crucial.

July 9, 2025

Please pray for Vic Naude who is in the Rocky Mountain Village. He is struggling with his health. Many of you will remember his mom Betty. For those of you that know Vic who quietly has attended Mountainside, if you have any spare time he has requested visitors and perhaps a small walk to keep him mobile. Presently he is residing in the residential side of RMV. Just contact the staff for assistance.

It is with great sadness that we share with you the passing of Paul Sanders, Leah's husband. He passed away suddenly on April 13th. We ask that you would join us in lifting the family up in prayer. We will let you know what we can do to support Leah and her family as the days unfold. - Cheryl Kokayko

Please support Leah at this time by bringing her a meal.

Prayer request and Ministry Update: Steve and Susan Penner

Steve and Susan Penner bring with them a long-standing history of ministry in China. Currently, Steve serves as a translator of Asian languages with CanIL, and Susan is employed as a nurse in Abbotsford, BC.

Recently, they spent two weeks in Thailand followed by three weeks in China, where they were able to reconnect with friends and ministry partners. While in Thailand, Steve led a Spiritual Retreat Day, offering encouragement and refreshment to those serving in the region. In China, they were blessed with opportunities to renew meaningful relationships and share in the rich cultural experience.

Please join us in praying for local believers they visited:

Norman and his wife, who live in a remote region where Norman raises yaks. He continues to be a faithful witness to his extended family and community.

A Christian woman who is the sole known believer in her language group, courageously living out her faith in isolation.

  • Your prayers are a vital support to those serving and witnessing in spiritually challenging and often remote areas.
